Team Play Modes: Teams & Duos
GAGAGO isn't just every-player-for-themselves — our Teams and Duos modes add a whole new level of strategy, coordination, and chaotic fun to the game.
Objective:
Work with your teammate(s) to be the last team standing in the pit. Eliminate opponents by striking the ball at them (below the waist), protect your own, and take advantage of special team mechanics to bring players back into the action.
Key Rules for Teams & Duos:
1. Team Eliminations:
- Standard elimination rules still apply — any player hit below the waist by the ball is out.
- Friendly fire is active. If you strike your own teammate and they’re hit below the waist, they’re eliminated just like any other player. Communication is key!
2. Catches and Revives:
- If you catch a live ball (i.e., one that hasn’t touched the ground) struck by an opponent, the player who hit it is eliminated.
- When a catch eliminates an opponent, your team earns a revive: the first eliminated player from your team is allowed to re-enter the game.
- Only one player may return per successful catch, and players must re-enter at the referee’s signal or during a pause in play.
3. Striking Mechanics:
- As always, players may strike the ball with an open or closed hand, but not carry or throw it.
- You may only hit the ball once per turn, unless it first contacts a wall or another player.
4. Out-of-Bounds Rule:
- The same rule applies: if a player is the last to touch the ball before it leaves the pit, they are out — unless the referee rules otherwise.
Team Strategy Tips:
- Use your team to cover angles and force opponents into bad positions.
- Watch your spacing — crowding too close can lead to accidental eliminations.
- Keep track of who’s been eliminated on your team and target your attacks to earn revives.
- In Duos, tight coordination and rapid reactions make all the difference. In Teams, roles like attacker, defender, or bait can emerge, use them wisely!
